About
Dra. Banuelos
Introduction
Hola, I’m Jessica.
I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with over 13 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s most difficult moments. I specialize in trauma-informed care, eating disorders, and supporting older adults who may be facing depression, anxiety, grief, or the emotional challenges that come with aging and end-of-life transitions.

I work with adolescents (11–18), adults, and couples, guiding them through complex issues such as trauma, substance use, and mental health struggles that can impact relationships and overall well-being. My therapeutic style is warm, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices, always tailored to meet each client’s unique needs.

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy, and recently earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. In addition, I’m trained in Animal-Assisted Therapy and am pursuing certification as a Certified Animal-Assisted Intervention Specialist (C-AAIS) through Pet Partners. When appropriate, I integrate therapy animals into sessions to provide comfort, reduce anxiety, and encourage emotional healing.

At the heart of my work is a passion for creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive space where people from all backgrounds feel truly seen and heard. Whether you’re coping with grief, managing anxiety, healing from trauma, or working through relationship challenges, my goal is to walk alongside you with compassion and empower you toward growth and resilience.
