At Hermosillo Family Therapy, Inc., we strive to provide accessible, high-quality mental health services while maintaining transparency regarding the cost of care. Fees vary depending on the type of service provided, the clinician's licensure level, and whether services are being billed through insurance or paid privately.
Therapy Services
Individual, couples, and family therapy sessions generally range from $175–$275 per session, depending on the service provided and the clinician's licensure and experience.
For clients who are not using insurance, reduced-fee and sliding-scale options may be available for services provided by Board Registered Associate Mental Health Therapists. Availability is limited and determined on a case-by-case basis.
We accept cash, major credit cards, and select insurance plans. Unless other arrangements have been made in advance, payment is due at the time services are provided.

EAP benefits typically authorize a specific number of sessions and may have different requirements from your regular health insurance benefits. Please provide your EAP authorization information when contacting our office.
Out-of-Network Benefits & Superbills
If we are not in-network with your insurance plan, you may still have out-of-network mental health benefits.
For eligible self-pay services, we can provide a Superbill that you may submit directly to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
A Superbill does not guarantee reimbursement. Reimbursement amounts and eligibility are determined entirely by your insurance plan. We encourage you to contact your insurance company directly to ask about your out-of-network behavioral health benefits before beginning services.

Contact our office and provide your current insurance information, and our team can assist you with determining your eligibility, coverage, and benefits.
Please keep in mind that verification of insurance benefits is not a guarantee of coverage or payment. Insurance companies make the final determination regarding eligibility, medical necessity, covered services, authorization requirements, and claim payment.
Clients are responsible for applicable deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, non-covered services, and other amounts determined by their insurance plan to be the client's responsibility.
Insurance participation may also vary by clinician. Not every provider at Hermosillo Family Therapy, Inc. is necessarily eligible or credentialed with every insurance plan listed above.
Cancellations & No-Shows
Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you.
We require at least 24 hours' notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. The full session fee will be charged for no-shows and late cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, except when otherwise required by law or contract.
Cancellation and no-show fees are generally not covered by insurance and are the client's responsibility.
Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Evaluations
The fee for an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Evaluation is $150.
The fee includes:

One copy of the completed ESA letter, when clinically appropriate
Payment for an ESA evaluation does not guarantee that an ESA letter will be issued. A recommendation or letter is provided only when the evaluating clinician determines that it is clinically appropriate and consistent with applicable professional and legal requirements.
Clinical Letters & Administrative Documentation
Requests for letters, forms, records review, or other administrative documentation require professional time outside of scheduled psychotherapy sessions and may be subject to a separate fee.
This may include:

Other clinical or administrative letters and forms
Fees may vary depending on the complexity of the request, amount of record review required, length of the document, and professional time involved.
Submitting a request does not guarantee that a clinician will complete or sign a particular letter or form. Documentation must be clinically appropriate, within the provider's scope of practice, and supported by the client's treatment and available clinical information.

Court, Legal & Third-Party Services
Court appearances and other legal or third-party professional services are not included in the regular psychotherapy session fee and are billed separately.

These services may be billed regardless of whether the clinician is ultimately called to testify or whether a scheduled proceeding is delayed or cancelled, in accordance with applicable practice policies and agreements.

Services Outside of Scheduled Therapy
Certain activities requiring significant professional time outside of a scheduled psychotherapy appointment may be billed separately when permitted by law, contract, and applicable insurance requirements.
Examples may include extensive record review, lengthy forms or documentation, consultations with outside professionals, and other non-routine administrative or professional services.
Whenever possible, clients will be informed of applicable fees before the service is completed.
Good Faith Estimates
Clients who are uninsured or who choose not to use insurance may have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of their care under applicable federal law.
