Introduction
I am Elvia Paredes, a bilingual Associate Marriage and Family Therapist providing compassionate, culturally responsive care to children, adults, and seniors. I believe healing begins in a space where you feel welcomed, understood, and comfortable being yourself. My goal is to offer that space—a place where your experiences are met with empathy, curiosity, and respect.
I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, low self-esteem, codependency, and life transitions. Whether you are adjusting to a new stage of life, working through a loss, or trying to understand patterns that leave you feeling stuck, we can explore what you are experiencing at a pace that feels manageable.
My approach is collaborative and tailored to your needs. I draw from client-centered, psychodynamic, trauma-informed, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches. Together, we may explore how past experiences influence present relationships, identify thoughts and behaviors that affect your well-being, and develop practical ways to cope with challenges. I also consider how culture, family, identity, and lived experiences shape the way you understand yourself and the world around you.
I strive to balance warmth and acceptance with gentle challenges that support your growth. Therapy can be a place to strengthen your voice, build healthier boundaries, process difficult emotions, and develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself. You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning—we can start wherever you are.
